Since September 1, 2017 in connection with the reorganization of the faculty and the merger of the departments "Finance and Credit" (head of the department, associate professor M.G. Kudinova.) And "Accounting and audit", (head of the department, associate professor G.V. Chetverikova ) the Department of Finance, Accounting and Audit was established.

A significant contribution to the formation and development of the department was made by: Professor G.P. Governors, associate professors: S. I. Gerich, N. S. Andreenkov, I. Ya. Kislova, L.I. Kirkeeva, M.I. Boyko, G.N. Malkova, G.V. Chetverikova, E.V. Uvarova, B.V. Bublikov, N.F. Vernigor, V.I. Rozhentsov, Yu.V. Gerauf, N.I. Glotova, S.N. Zaikov, senior teachers: N.V. Vinokurtseva, E.I. Fedyaeva, G.B. Andrushevich and others.

The name of the department, its profile and the composition of the taught disciplines changed in accordance with the requirements of the time and the economic development of the economy of the region and the Russian Federation.

To date, the department "Finance, accounting and audit" is producing in the direction of preparation "Economics" (bachelor's degree) profiles: "Finance and credit", "Accounting, analysis and audit".

With the aim of training highly qualified personnel, since 2012, a master's program in the direction of "Economics" has been opened, a master's program "Finance of organizations".

The efficiency of any organization depends on decisions based on accounting (financial) reporting data, therefore education in the field of finance, accounting and auditing is the foundation without which the development of the economy of organizations is impossible, therefore, starting in 2018, it is planned to open a master's program in the direction of "Economics" Master's program "Accounting, Analysis and Auditing".

We train professionals working in various industries with a high level of knowledge.

Currently, the department employs a highly qualified teaching staff. The percentage of teachers with a scientific degree is 91%. The teaching staff is actively involved in research, teaching and educational work. The department is equipped with an educational and methodological base, which is posted on the website of the Altai State Agrarian University.

The range of disciplines taught is expanding annually: for example, in addition to basic courses, teachers read new disciplines - international financial reporting standards, international audit standards, accounting in various industries, accounting and audit of foreign economic activity, international monetary and financial relations, business valuation, financial markets, banking business, investment analysis, corporate finance, financial analysis of a commercial bank, modern tax policy, financial management tools and others.

Lecture courses are taught using multimedia technologies, practical classes are conducted in the form of business games, case studies, business trainings.

The department conducts research work on improving the management of investments in the agro-industrial complex, the processes of forming the production potential of personal farms of the population, reducing the risks of agricultural production based on the development of the insurance system, reforming the pension system of the Russian Federation, organizing accounting and auditing at enterprises and others.

As part of the training of students and undergraduates, mutually beneficial cooperation is carried out and long-term contracts for the passage of industrial and educational practice have been concluded with PJSC VTB-24, PJSC Sberbank of Russia, JSC Rosselkhozbank, JSC Alfabank, JSC UOH Prigorodnoye, etc. ...

Since March 2014, on the basis of PJSC VTB-24, the Banking School has been organized and is successfully operating, in which students of the Faculty of Economics study annually with the possibility of subsequent employment. From 2014-2017, 80 students of the faculty were trained at the banking school, of which 10 were employed at PJSC VTB-24.

The Department of Finance, Accounting and Auditing actively cooperates with leading insurance companies, branches of regional and federal banks, leading enterprises of the region. Under the leadership of the head. Department of M.G. Kudinova and in cooperation with the specialists of JSC "Rosselkhozbank" in 2016, a branch of the department was opened on the basis of JSC "Rosselkhozbank" in Barnaul, and from October 2017 a banking school will operate at the department to train highly qualified specialists for the banking sector of the economy.

In order to increase the financial literacy of the population, the teachers of the department, together with JSC "Rosselkhozbank", organized the first financial student group "Trust" in the Altai Territory and the fifth in Russia.

Students of the Faculty of Economics of ASAU, under the guidance of the department staff, annually participate in regional and federal Olympiads in insurance, banking, corporate finance, financial management, accounting, consistently demonstrating high results and winning prizes.

Fundamental economic training allows our graduates to work in different areas of the economy: auditors, economists, financial directors, bank employees, accountants, expert accountants, chief accountants, civil servants; individual entrepreneurs, heads of small businesses, financial managers, etc.
